Hi .
This code is letting you know that you are running lean when this happens it will enrich the fuel supple.
Most when this happens is when you have a vacuum leak at the intake manifold .
First check for vacuum leaks
Best way to check for vacuum leaks if you see nothing wrong..
A simple squirt bottle filled with water and set to 'stream'
(not spray).
Then with the engine running you simply squirt water along the seam between the head and intake manifold and listen for any change in the engine's behavior.
Leaking exhaust pipe
Make sure the exhaust is sealed.
MAF sensor
Fuel pressure
Check fuel pressure if low replace the fuel pump .
Fuel injectors
Make sure they are working correctly you should remove and check the injector spray pattern
Was probably no need to replace the cat ????
Check the items above then get back to me with the reply button and not the poor or bad service rating , so i can get back to you with further assistance with this issue or offer assistance with another expert .

Low engine compression

According to the guy that replaced the cat, the engine was missing when starting from cold and he cleaned the injectors, the cat cost $1200 to replace, really not happy about that as I thought it had been a misdiagnosis

Hi ..
Did you drive the car a lot when the engine was misfiring ?
If you did drive for a long time with the engine misfiring then it possible the unburnt fuel that reached the cat and damaged it ,
