I have a 1997 Holden Rodeo - 4ZE1 Isuzu 2.6L petrol. I recently blew a head gasket in the outback and had to do the repairs myself so was unable to have the integrity of the head or valves etc tested. After rebuilding I have got a very poor running engine. I have had the timing checked and double checked, including timing gear, belt, distributor, firing order etc and have replaced all leads and plugs but still have a terrible miss. Strangely enough if I take No 2 lead off whilst runnig the idle improves dramatically and seems to run quite smooth. If I put the lead bak on it idles like a pig. Could this be a valve problem on No2 or is my head got issues? Please help, car is unable to be driven home!
