Customer Question

morning
I have a 2002 GU nissan Patrol 3.0l D Manual. The issue is every now and then when cruising or going up hills on road all throttle engine power goes, then quickly taking my foot off the throttle peddle then back on, the throttle power comes back. There are no codes or warning lights on and without the problem happening at the time workshops just want to replace parts and hope they fix it at my cost
thanks
steve

There a few different issues one is the throttle position sensor the other is the mas air flow sensor were either of these checked?

Customer replied 335 days and 4 hours ago.

morning

I had the mass air flow sensor check and was told if that was the problm the engine light would come on and to watch for it, as for the throttle sentor, no. Is it at the throttle pedal? Can it be cleaned or does it have to be replaced?

thanks

It's the sensor in the throttle body and it would need to be replaced . As for the mass air flow sensor the engine light would not come on if it's bad that's why I stated to check that. These are the next steps . Hoped this helped . Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated .
