Customer Question

have a nissan Primera 2.0, model 2004
sometimes on the road appear one of the 2 problems:
- when starting off, it makes lots of noise, engine speed is quite high, but the car doesn't move fast, untill it reaches a certain speed (like 40-50 km/h) then it drives smoother.

- when driving around 100 km/h all of a sudden the engine speed increases, but car doesn't go fast regardless of pressing gas, and it noise appears.

- these problems appear from time to time, no clear pattern distinguished.

The computer gives a few problems with VSS sensor, but i guess it's just because that sensor has been removed, due to it's brake down.

Has the VSS been replaced yet?

Customer replied340 days and 16 hours ago.

No, I hasn't been. It was just removed. But untill now (which is about 0.5-1 year) there were no problems.

Ok this is most likely the issue. What are the number codes stored for the engine light?

Customer replied340 days and 15 hours ago.

hm.... could you tell me where to find that info, as I'm not really a car expert?

Customer replied340 days and 14 hours ago.

Does this sensor can cause this kind of a problem? Could you tell me if it is possible to fix it without putting a new sensor?

Ok you need to go to any local auto parts store or shop to have the vehicle scanned to see what code is stored for the engine light .This will help pinpoint the problem. Most shops will do this for free. Also you will need to replace the VSS for the system to work properly .Without this it will not allow the transmission to have the correct the signal and can cause many different issues. These are the next steps.Hoped this helped.Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated.
