Hello Rob.This can be quite a problem.The easiest way to fix it is actually to replace the fuse holder with a inline fuse and bypassing whats there already. It takes a bit of work but if you are handy with a soldering iron it shouldn't be a problem.The inline fuse holders are available from your local auto electricianThese are what I'd use - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-x-WATERPROOF-INLINE-FUSE-HOLDER-20A-20-AMP-BLADE-/190553969600?pt=AU_Boat_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c5de6d3c0The fix isn't original equipment but it works and that's probably more important.regardsMechanic Martyn
