Hi Im David, if the pressure gauge shows very high, you will need to remove the refrigerant until the gauge shoes normal. do not try to operate the system until the pressure is normal.

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
What system? The refrigerant. How do I release the pressure?
Expert:  david craig replied 10 days ago.

the ac system. yes the refrigerant. the port that you filled it with, use a thin screw driver or alike and depress the valve inside it. Put rags around the port and DO NOT get your face too close to it. let some out then check it with your gauge.

Does the car have to be on or off?
