JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: Which one?
JA: What is the model/year of your Audi?
Customer: 2006 a6
JA: Are you fixing your A6 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes and nothing yet im researching it
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Epc light goes off after i use the disengage switch located below the ash tray but when put back in park it comes back on. Car drives perfectly normal in gear 99% of the time. Occasionally have difficulty going in reverse

Hi Im David, P0706 AUDI - Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Range Performance Possible causes - Faulty Park/neutral position switch - Misadjusted park/neutral position switch - Park/neutral position switch harness is open or shorted - Park/neutral position switch circuit poor electrical connection

you need to replace the range sensor aka neutral safety switch
