hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

The EPC light has come on because the engine controller has seen a problem in a monitored component or system and set a fault code. There are literally dozens of things that will turn the light on, literally a failure of anything in the powertrain.

The first step in diagnosing the problem is to use a scan tool or code reader to see what fault codes are setting and then testing can be done from there. Do you know what codes are setting?
