Hello, I'm Matt Audi tech.

That recommendation was about 10 years ago. It is no longer recommended or necessary to replace any airbag unit at this or any other interval.

The air bag does not need to changed every 10 years.

The air bag is OK and it should not be a deal breaker.

There is technical service bulletin issued by Audi saying it is not necessary. Any dealer shop can pull the bulletin up to show you.

Please rate me positive, thank you.
