I have an 2008 A4 2.0T that has been making a wump wump wump sound when driving. It get louder the faster I drive. No Sound when idling or in park. Had the tires balanced. No change.

how are the tires? does it go away in neutral coasting?

Generally this is a wheel bearing. Try driving on an open road with no traffic, and swerve slightly left to right, see if it changes the sound as you shift the weight of the vehicle from left to right. If it goes away when you swerve one way, then the wheel bearing on that side is bad.
