Hello, I'm Jason. I will do my best to answer your question quickly and accurately using the information you have provided.
That is a very odd issue on these cars.
Not only did I go to Audi school on these, work on about a hundred of them, I also own an '01 225 Quattro TT
however, if it's truly bent, the best course of action is to replace with a used one
whats the price run for one?
that's a tough call. I've literally never had to replace one. Have had to do a few A4's, and the subframe usually runs about 300-400. I can give you good used Audi parts sources also
labor is likely going to be in the 700-800 range
let me post up a few links to good Audi parts sources
k, could i take to a frame shop and have in bent back?
being that it's stamped steel, I'm sure it can be straightened, unless it's truly tweaked beyond repair
last good Audi-only yard I use: http://www.force5auto.com/
And here is a good general parts source
would you have any idea what it would cost to get it bent back, estimate?
shouldn't be more than $400, if it's repairable
frame straightening is a labor intensive process
and a frame shop would be my best bet for that?
not a general repair shop
Hope this helps, and please let me know if I can be of further help in the future. I know these cars quite well
i still drive it daily and have been for 3 months, you think thats a good indication it is reparible?
I would concur with that, yes
alright man well thanks for the help
wait, poor service?
Not quite sure where I failed here
