Just had my front brakes (pads and rotors) changed by an independent shop (not an Audi dealer) on my 2008 A6 - the brakes feel spongy (although they're not squeaking). Any idea why they're not firm (or if they should be)? Thanks.

Hi . Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer. Is the brake light on? Is the pedal low?Thank you again for trusting us with your problem. John aka eauto
Brake light is no longer on - but the pedal feels low and spongy (same as before the repair),
It may have a failed master cylinder, or the pads were not installed correct.. The pad is a gloating pad. Its more of a complex system then a average car... I would have a full brake inflection performed by a Audi specialist
