the heater blows cool air and then stats to blow hot air on to front windscreen and 1 side vent all other vents still blowing cool air.

Hi it sounds like you have either a flap motor or a temp sensor issue on the air con system. To confirm this you will need to have the fault memory of the air con system checked for and stored fault codes. If there are no fault codes stored you will then need them to check the live data to make sure that all the sensor are reading the correct temperature.
