2008 Audi TT: my gas cap will not pop open..Trunk release..locks work

2008 Audi TT went for gas and my gas cap will not pop open. Trunk release works fine , locks work fine. What do I do I am on empty

Cant find the part you mentioned, where is it? Do I have to remove a panel in trunk? Is it next to the battery?

Found the release cord behind red plastic knob, I pulled it and it does not work. Seems like disconnected inside cap. What do I do to open it?

Here are instructions to replace actuator...Remove the actuator and that will allow you to open fuel door. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.

Found the problem , the part that you show in your pictures is not being supported by the cable mount. We were able to open the gas tank cover and are now trying to properly seat the part in the cable mount. Thank you
