I worked with someone last night... I got the codes and need to continue.
Country: United StatesMake: AudiModel: TT QuattroYear: 2001Engine: 5v Turbo
The previous tech told me to get the error codes...
He suspected coil problems.... Wanted me to do something with testing good coils on bad misfires...
I have the codes.
Need to continue... Want to understand next steps.
Hello, I think we were talking...What codes came up? Thanks.
Did you buy a code reader or just have codes checked? Thanks.
Bought a code reader
Ok, lets start with the P1113 code which could cause the multiple misfire which is a code for front oxygen sensor...Here are testing instructions or you could just replace..Youcan also swap around coisl to see if misfire moves but it sounds like all cylinders are misfiring so I doubt thats the case. Let me know if you run into questions, you can reply to this answer at any time without opening new questions, thanks.http://db.tt/2yMUxAfyDan40878.198478206

I'm not going to have the tools to test the oxygen sensor.... Where is it on the car?
It is in the exhaust closet to engine..Here is a picture. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.http://db.tt/hTUAJQfe
What number in the picture 9?
That is correct, let me know if you run into questions. Thanks.
Ok... We will replace tomorrow...So we just need to replace the front?Also.... I signed up for unlimited questions but it doesn't recognize my email... My PayPal is charged but I can't log in.
Ok, let me know how it goes tomorrow...Yes just replace the front sensor..You can email XXXX@XXXXXXXXXX.XXX about any account questions. Let me know how it goes, thanks.
Thank you again
No problem, have a good evening.
Hello Dan, ok I changed the front 02 sensor and cleared the code.It is running only slightly better... Still feels like a misfire... However, my code reader shows 0 codes. Do I need to drive it?I also read in some of the other forms that both 02 sensors had to be changed in some car.Let me know next steps.
Ya drive it until codes come back and let me know, thanks.
Ok... I drove it around the block... The check engine came back on... P0301- I think that is a misfire on 1 cylinder...So... What's next?
Good to hear, swap coil 1 with another cylinder reset codes and see if misfire moves to coil you swapped #1 with...If so replace that coil..Let me know how it goes, I'm getting offline for night. Thanks.
Ok... Me too... Thanks... Will do next step on Saturday.thanks again
Sounds good, talk to you then. Thanks.
