Audi A4: needs replacing..the headlight units is loose and I

This answer was rated:

Audi A4 Offside Dipped Headlight bulb needs replacing. I have removed the top 2 screws and the headlight units is loose and I can move it some way. Are there any other screws to remove. Is it retained in any other way. It is a 2004 A4 saloon. 1.9TDI Front drive.

Thank You for choosing Just Answer for your query. Yes, I can help you.

This 2004 model should be a B6 = 02 to 05.5, B7 = 05.5 to 07, B8 = 08+, B5 96 to 01.

To remove the headlight you will need to replace the two top screws and loosen (do not remove) the two lower, back screws as indicated

  • Remove screws -1- and -5-.
  • Loosen screws -2- and -4- several turns but do not remove completely.
  • Separate wire connectors where installed.
  • Disconnect electrical harness connector -3-.
  • Remove headlight from body toward the front.
