Hi Ransdell. I have another piece I'd like you to look at. It is a 2 piece cabinet. I think the wood is mahogany. It's very heavy. Very nice condition except for a few minor issues as I'll get to once you've seen the pictures. You can view my cabinet on PhotoBucket: "kathyjuul". Thanks in advance.
Already Tried: Nothing. Not quite sure what to do...
Hi Kathy, you have to go to your account on photobucket open up the picture and copy and paste the link into the message box and send it to me. This has to be in the public access section in order for me to view it thanks, Alan.

Hi Kathy, these are nice Chinese Tansu step Cabinets did you have them refinished?
I don't know about the finish. I bought them at a consignment shop! Hoping they are worth something! Please???
The entire piece seems to have the same finish inside and out. My mother taught me how to refinish furniture but never the ENTIRE piece...
Hi Kathy, they are early 1900's Taisho Period (1912-1926) Japanese Tansu step cabinets made of Elm wood with red lacquer. At auction I would estimate them at $550 - $850 USD. a piece. How much did you pay for them? Thank you, Alan
I paid $360 for the pair. Do you know where I can sell them? Thanks.
Hi Kathy, where are you located what city and state. I know you told me but I forgot its been a few 100 questions ago thanks, Alan
I'm in Maryland. I'm in dire need of money. Have been taking care of my mother for the past 5 years and the PAY IS NOT GOOD. I need to make money for my health issues. Thanks Much. Kathy
Hi Kathy what part of Maryland I need to what city to find the closest auction house to you I was raised in Beltsville Thanks, AlanAlan C. Ransdell, ISA AM, AOA AM, CA41073.1241178241
My mother lives in Potomac. I see you went to college at U. of MD. I too went there for a short while.
Okay, thats pretty interesting, thanks for sharing. My grandparents lived in college park and I took some courses through them. As for your items, i recommend that you get in contact with this auction house in Washington D.C. called Weshclers. I believe that they will be able to get all these items sold for you. I hope this helps Kathy!Alan C. Ransdell, ISA AM, AOA AM, CA41073.6820532755

Thanks. One more thing? I checked Weshclers and they don't have an auction until September and I need the money sooner than that. Am I just better off trying to sell the cabinets on Craigslist? I also have a Lee Woodard '70s extruded aluminum table--glass top--with 4 chairs. The aluminum has oxidized to some degree but the cushions look good and are the originals. Craigslist also? Sorry to inconvenience you. Much appreciated, Kathy
Kathy, you can try this house in Chevy Chase anything you put on eBay will not bring much money this site is better http://www.etsy.com/ But not for the chest here is were I recommend;

Huh? I've seen the Woodard table and chairs online--exact thing--going for $5,000 to $6,000 grand. Yikes...
Hi Kathy, send me a picture of it please
Here is one chair. I have four with the cushions and Woodard tags on the bottom of two of them. The base is the same as the chairs with a glass top.http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/kathyjuul/woodard.jpgSo sorry to be pestering you...
Hi Kathy, you are not going to get that anywhere near you this needs to go to eBay and put buyers pays for shipping or local pick up I would estimate it at $2500 - $4000 USD. an you load to eBay?
That's much better! I'd be happy with $3,000. I got it for $200! I don't like selling on Ebay because some Ebay buyers can be very nasty. But... I fear that may be the way to go. Thanks much!
Kathy, make sure you have it end on a Sunday at 5:30 PM PST eBay time thats prime time for the est coast. Also put buyer is to pay for all shipping cost and make all arrangements. Start it at 999.00 yo get them bidding good luck, Alan
