I have come across a very interesting piece. It could be silver I just do not know what it even is, so I cannot find a price. It is rectangularish and has regular slats. It is ornaments with a lil de fleur (sp) It couldnt be a dish it wouldnt hold anything. Maybe it was used for mail? I bought it because it looked neat but I have no idea what it is.
Already Tried: a cursory look online with the makers mark a while back. I have to dig it out of storage to tell you what that is

/Hi,My name is XXXXX XXXXX it will be my pleasure to help you with this question. You have a silver plated basket, used for bread or fruit, made by Rogers Brothers, a subsidiary of International Silver of Meriden, Connecticut in the mid-20th century. Your basket appears to have wear and scratches to the plating. In the condition pictured, the current retail (replacement or insurance) value of your basket is approximately $40. If you were to sell it, you could expect to get the fair market (private sale or auction) value of approximately 40% of the retail amount.I hope this answer has been helpful to you.
