The subject is of me. It's a drawing of me. Great condition in frame.
Respectfully, XXXXX XXXXX assume that you had personal rapport with the artist and/ or may be a known figure in your own right. I mention this because the artist did portraits mainly of people who were within one or both of these categories. Further, value would likely be affected by who is pictured in his work. Again, respectfully, XXXXX XXXXX terms then, a charcoal work by the artist of a relatively anonymous figure would have an estimated value in the range of $4,000-$8,000. Someone more in the "spotlight," as it were, might yield a sum at double that. Of course, as with all art, even an anonymous figure whose image has been used to create a piece that becomes sought after could elicit great interest and therfore, in this instance, result in a sale at auction, for example, that could exceed both of these estimates. This is the subjective nature of art appreciation and associated valuation. In any event, what I have put forth here are simply basic parameters given the record and my research on the artist's work.
