When you say the cooktop lights - do you mean the digital display is out or the indicator lights saying a burner(s) is on ? These work off the 115 volt portion of the circuit - so check for a bad connection - follow the middle wire from where the power cord comes in ( usually the white wire ) Be sure you unplug the stove first. This wire goes to the control board , but also to the oven light and indicator lights so it will have a common connection.
