Customer Question

I have a whirlpool duet stream front load dryer and it wont spin
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Whirlpool is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: not sure how old, I would guess a 3-5 years let me see if there is a model number in the back of it
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: if I can!
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: we had someone out to fix it since it wasn't heating, which was about 5 days ago where can I find a serial or model number, any idea?

Do you hear a click from the control areas when you start it?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
all the noises are as if it is operable
Expert:  Kelly replied 5 months ago.

Open the door and turn the drum to the left. Is it very easy to turn or with some resistance?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
some resistance to get it going
Expert:  Kelly replied 5 months ago.

Okay, so the thermal fuse has likely opened. The model tag is above the opening after the door is opened.

May I please have your model number so I am able to provide you with accurate, model specific information?

Where am I supposed to purchase a fuse like that? Is this something you recommend I try and replace myself even with my lac knowledge on dryers...?
Customer: replied 5 months ago.

I have a drawer at the front base of my dryer, not a panel
Expert:  Kelly replied 5 months ago.

The dryer is on a pedestal, the front panel is up above the drawer.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
ok, but regardless, I cannot take off the front top panel as instructed since I have a different dryer than in the video
