Customer Question

Cooktop lockout on. Don't know how it got on, but they tell you to depress cooktop lockout button for 3 seconds. Tried this many times with no luck.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of the appliance? And has it done this before?
Customer: It's a Whirlpool, don't know model #, but it's about 10 years old. It did this once before. I've only lived in house 1 year.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I got rid of lockout thing before ,but forgot how I did it. Thought you'd be able to tell me.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: NO

Is this just a cooktop or a range with an oven? Have you turned off the breaker for 3 minutes and then tried to unlock again?
