Can you please give me the model number?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
UNBELIEVABLY, I DON'T HAVE THE MODEL NUMBER. ALL IT SAYS, AND I'VE LOOKED, IS MAYTAG
Expert:  Engineer-Tech replied 3 months ago.

Did you try to look along the door frame, the hinge, and the ceiling?

Expert:  Engineer-Tech replied 3 months ago.

If it is a range, pull the drawer out and look at the left leg.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I FOUND A TAG IN THE BACK, IT SAYS MODEL/SERIAL AND
MER5752BAS 17714603NP
Expert:  Engineer-Tech replied 3 months ago.

Ok, please give me a moment to look that up.

If you open the door and find the lock latch, try moving it back and forth to attempt to free it up.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I WILL TRY AGAIN, BUT I LITERALLY TRIED THAT MORE THAN 10 TIMES ALREADY, TO NO AVAIL.
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
TRIED AGAIN.....NOTHING :/
Expert:  Engineer-Tech replied 3 months ago.

Ok, it probably connects to some switches under the top that makes the oven think that it is locked. One or more of those switches may be stuck.

Expert:  Engineer-Tech replied 3 months ago.

You may need to get to the latch mechanism to see if something spilled on it or the switches. One moment.

Expert:  Engineer-Tech replied 3 months ago.

You will need to lift the top up a little. To do that, there are 2 screws on either side - underneath on the right and left corners. Turn the breaker off, remove those screws and gently lift the top and place something soft under it to hold it up.

Expert:  Engineer-Tech replied 3 months ago.

You need to locate the latch assembly and examine and cycle the switch or switches on it to make sure they function. They may just be stuck.

Expert:  Engineer-Tech replied 3 months ago.

Do you feel comfortable doing this?

Hello are you still there?
