I have a old thermador glass top slide in range, electric, with Ceran Schott
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: for an hour, I am trying to turn off the oven, it has a bake, broil, button and a cancel button and I can't get the thing to turn off but by the breaker
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of the appliance? And has it done this before?
Customer: No, and I can't find model number, where would it be located
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

If the buttons are not turning it off then your control panel has failed you. If this problem is still existing you can find your model number located on the inside of the oven door.
