Hello I have SAMSUNG RFG299AARS/XAA 2008 Ice maker died 5 years ago..Im attempting to repair now... I bought a new ice maker and it still doesn't work
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Samsung is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: I already typed that

Customer: I have SAMSUNG RFG299AARS/XAA 2008

Customer: YES
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I've already replaced the ice maker unit itself...the ICE ON icon is lit up and Ive tried holding the reset button as well non if this worked..

If the ice maker is not cycling with the forced test button, either the ice maker is faulty or there is no power to it from the board.

The attached sheet shows the ice maker powered from the board, so unless both the old and new ice makers have the exact same issue (not very likely), the board is faulty. Please allow me just a few minutes to prepare some information for you, thank you!

i just realized I bought a new one..then threw it in the trash and put the old one back in!!!!.

Back to the drawing board...and I guess I blew $28 bucks here too eh?
