I am in need of a sensor for Maytag/BravosX top load washer.

Customer Question

I am in need of a sensor for Maytag/BravosX top load washer. Model number MVWX700XW1. I am told by a local distributor that there are two sensor on the machine and I don't know which I need. Also I think the machine may be a discontinued model.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Maytag is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: I bought it Dec 2011
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I have a mechanic
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The machine's timing will not advance and it begins and stops, and remains on the same time without advancing

you have two sensors a water temperature sensor and a optical sensor in the mode shifter .

Which sensor do you think you need? .

Are you seeing any blinking lights on the console? this would be an error code.

I think I need a control board. There seems to be a breakdown in communication in the machine. It starts the cycle, senses the size of the load, and then stops. The countdown timer also stops

I just need to know the part I need. I do not need a phone call

I waited on you to reply back to me until 6 pm EST and then logged off .

This is my second job during the week .

I did not request a phone call that is populated via the Just Answer site.

When the unit stops does it have any water in the tub on the clothing?

No it is not a rip off but we are actual humans and not robots on the internet.

I do not live on the computer, I have a teaching job at a College ,a business of my own and a family , so I spend a certain amount of time doing each job then that is it for that day.

Sorry you missed me .

And yes I do also think your issue is not a sensor, but that it is an electronic control .

If you would like we can try to run a diagnostics on the unit and I can also give you a link to the electronic control so that you may order it if you would like.
