How to connect two wire thermostat on Kelvinator?

This answer was rated:

Installed rc810 on old Kelvinator. It runs and gets down to 35 in trig. But not sure how to connect two wire thermostat. Rats had eaten wires. Can you please help. The thermostat has a vac. defrost on it.
Are you asking about the unit cold control/thermostat or are you asking about the defrost thermostat in the freezer on the Evaporator coil?

This was built in the late 40s. It has a small freezer in the center that is not temp. adjustable. I'm trying to connect the only switch it has. The dial has vacation, defrost, and off and 1 thru 9 for the temps. They really didn't have a defrost in the 40s, not like today. They were very simple back then. It has two wires going to the control

If it only has two wires going to the control.

And if the control only has two terminals for wires to go on.

It does not make any difference which wire goes on which terminal.

This is a A/C electric unit (A/C =Alternating current)

Now if it was a D/C powered unit it would make a difference.

So let me know if you have any other questions.
