Customer Question

The compressor in my Frigidaire fridge makes a heck of a racket. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it was fine for a few minutes and started back with the same whining sound but much louder sound.

It sounds like your compressor may be going bad. It doesn't mean that you have to replace it until it goes bad but in order to put in a new compressor you have to have a repair man come out and do it because of the refrigerant. I can however locate the part for your unit so you can get an idea on the cost for your particular compressor. I will just need your model number.
