I put a load of wash in my front loading washer, it must not

Customer Question

I put a load of wash in my front loading washer, it must not have closed properly, so the load won't start, nor will the locked door release.
JA: What's the make and model of your washing machine? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: It is probably about 8 years old. It is the Frigidaire Affinity front loading washer.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I can. I replaced the latch on the door a month ago.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: This has happened before, and I unplugged the washer and plugged it back in and it released the door. That didn't happen this time.

Well it certainly sounds like the problem is with your door lock or switch. Either way what is the model number of your unit so I can pull up some information for you please.
