Customer Question

We have a combo microwave/oven unit.model GMC275PRB. We are having problems with the control panel. I enter a time for the microwave and hit start and it doesn't start but the timer indicator on the lower oven side comes on. I hit start again and the timer indicator goes off but the microwave still doesn't start. It will start if I use one of the programmed selections. Also on the oven side if we press oven and start the broiler indicator comes on.
Is there a way to clear the control panel? I've turned of the power to the unit and back on but that didn't do anything. Hopefully there is a simple way to reset it.

It sounds like you will have to replace the electronic control. However, we can try to reprogram it. Follow the directions below, selecting 27 from the menu once you get to that part of the programming. Does the behavior change at all?

Within 60 seconds of power up, press the following
touchpads:

OVEN CANCEL, WARM HOLD, BAKE, TEMP DOWN,
TIMER OFF, MINUTE DOWN, MICRO CANCEL, 5, OVEN
START/ENTER, OVEN LIGHT.

2. Size is shown in display - “ID 24”.

3. Press CLOCK pad until correct size is displayed (ID 27).

4. Press CANCEL.

5. Press and hold OVEN CANCEL pad for 5 seconds
to verify programming
