I have a GTUP270EM1WW that does not seem to rinse clothes

Customer Question

I have a GTUP270EM1WW that does not seem to rinse clothes well. When it gets to rinse cycle it adds water for about 50 seconds, that's all, even with an extra large load. That doesn't seem like enough water
JA: Have you tried power cycling the appliance -- unplugging it and leaving it off for a few hours?
Customer: Yes
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I replaced the control board an cycled through all the service tests.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Just curious how long the water should add to the washer in rinse mode

Unfortunately, that is by design. That low volume rinse is how the manufacturer meets water usage requirements set forth by the government. All manufacturers are subject to the restrictions so it is not just with GE. Your machine is working as designed.
