  1. Can you hear a fan running in the freezer section?
  2. Can you see any frost on the back wall inside the freezer?
  3. Was the board in the back recently replaced?

fridge worked fine then setup water dispenser. stopped working

Is the damper open or closed?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
the damper is always closes after a short time and never reopens on this unit the sensor is connected to the damper assembly so in the process of replacing the damper this was also replaced.
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
i can even manually open the damper and it will close it.

Okay, so it has to be a board issue. The only other reason it would close would be if the sensor was telling the control that it is too cold, which is unlikely since the sensor is new. I would replace the control board, available below. Be sure to follow the instructions that come with it.

Be sure to check the door harness connections for issues before replacing the board since it may be related to the dispenser just being put into use.

How would the door be effected? I only hooked up a water line
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 month ago.

Water dripping down from the dispenser line and getting in the electrical connector at the lower freezer door hinge.

Causing a short? This is your thought. Correct?
