I have a whirlpool trash compactor Model TU8100XTP2, Ser No.

I have a whirlpool trash compactor Model TU8100XTP2, Ser No. D91888063. I cannot pull the drawer out more that 1/2 inch. The ram works fine. How can I free it up. Also, I have tried to pull the compactor from under the counter, but don't have any luck Please help

Answer:

Nothing would really make it stick unless something may be wedged between the bin and ram stopping it from opening. I think you may have something jammed in the unit as the rails would typically not cause that issue. Remove the top and look down and see if you can find anything jamming the unit up.
