The compressor doesn't start but the lights inside work but the lights on front control panel doesn't. It's a GE.Refrigerator model no is GSH25SGPA SS and serial number GF272604

Why did you replace the control board - what were the original problems ? Did the compressor run before you replaced the board ?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
The ice maker was having issues and water didn't come out, all was changed out. Then clicking sound and then smoke. Unplugged and plugged back in compressor ran then everything stopped.

The clicking sound and smoke were coming from the control board and that is why you replaced this board - is that what you are saying ? And now with the new board in nothing is running - the compressor , condenser fan motor , freezer fan motor and the display are all dead ?

Do you have a volt / ohm meter and know how to use one ?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I have one but not expert on using one . I think touch a lead and the casing.
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
They are not working

Myprevious question - is that correct - smoke coming from control board , etc

Expert:  Tom Goellner replied 3 months ago.

before doing anything else - check all the connections on the board , make sure you didn't get a connector on the board wrong - like one pin off - one pin is showing with no connector to it , this is easily done .
