The part that is attached to the outer door that sticks in

Customer Question

The part that is attached to the outer door that sticks in the latch is broken off. This happened once before and we replaced the door ring that this piece is on. Now we aren't able to find anyone with this particular part and some say it isn't being manufactured anymore. My LG Trom is a great washer with nothing else wrong with it. What can I do?
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your LG is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: It's probably 10 or 12 years old. I'll go check the model but the part number is *****
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Just where to find this part.
