Hello, this is Dave and welcome to Just Answer. The washer keeps filling but never starts to agitate? Is it leaking water on the floor where you can see it?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
no
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
no leaking water, and yes, it fills and then just sits.
Expert:  Appliance Tech Dave replied 6 months ago.

Okay, so it fills, stops and does nothing. Let me check the wiring diagram.

If you turn it to drain/Spin does it drain?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
i haven't been able to get it to do anything no matter where i turn the dial.
Expert:  Appliance Tech Dave replied 6 months ago.

On your washer it should agitate even if the lid is up so the lid switch is not the problem. It could be the timer or the drive motor or a bad connection at the motor harness. How far can you go with this? To get to the motor the cabinet must be removed.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I just replaced the timer.

Okay, I think you can check the motor harness. If you let the drain hose down into a bucket or to a floor drain you can drain out the water and then tip it up. You will see a multi wire harness connected to the motor. Remove it and look for burned terminals. If okay put back on firmly and try the washer again.
