I just brought a freezer standup can I put a appliance extention cord on it?

You can use an extension cord if needed, but you need to make sure it can handle up to 15 amps minimum. These freezers draw 13 amps on start up each time the compressor starts up so if you use a power cord that isn't rated high enough it can burn the cord over time.
