Hello, this is Dave and I'm happy to help. The fan should run anytime the water is circulation. Is water circulating inside?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
the water is circulating and it actually made a bit of ice

The compressor gets hot and then shuts off ...or I think it does
Expert:  Appliance Tech Dave replied 6 months ago.

Okay, let's check the fan. From the back you can see the fan blade and if you reach in see if there is something jamming the blade. If not jammed turn it to see if it is tight. You just need to remove the lower cover to see in the back.

I did that ...the fan is not jammed and seems to be moving freely
