I have a new frig" model # ***** the freezer compartment is full of ice and frost. What should I do? Betty

Hello, I'm Joel and will be glad to help you today. If there is ice and frost all over the inside of the freezer and not just on the back wall of the freezer, then that means the freezer door was left open and not shut properly and the moisture from the outside air froze inside the freezer and that is how that happened. To fix it, you will need to turn the unit off for a few hours leaving the freezer door open until all the ice and frost has melted and the water is wiped out, then you can turn the unit on and it will be fine, just make sure the door gets closed properly from now on. This is the only thing that can cause that problem. We are on the honor system here.
