Customer Question

A mouse has eaten the electric wire that connects to the water inlet valve on my kitchenaid dishwasher. Bit it off right at the plug, and I found a 6 inch piece of the wires laying on the floor. Kitchenaid help line says this is part of the wiring harness for the whole thing. Is there a way to fix this without replacing the whole harness? So far I haven't been able to find where the other end of the wire went, since a whole section is out. Still looking. Thanks.

Yes you can splice the wires in the harness as long as you have enough wire coming out of the water inlet valve connector.

I would use wire nuts to connect the wires together.

What color is the wire? that you do not know where it goes to

The water inlet valve has two brown wires I just need to know is it the one that goes to the water float switch right above the water valve or the second brown wire?
