I have a unit apt. building with KBLS19KTMS kitchen aid

Customer Question

I have a unit apt. building with KBLS19KTMS kitchen aid refrigerators. All three have this problem: The freezer is keeping food frozen but in the bottom of the freezer there is frozen water which slowly accumulates and then slowly leaks out onto floor. I have turned off the water to the ice maker so am sure it is not that. In the back of the freezer there is a seam from left to right which is where it seems to be dripping in from. Please help.

Hello from JA
My name is Woody.
I will be glad to assist you today.
I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 35 Years,
and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 80,000 internet repairs under my belt.

The issue is the Freezer Evaporator drain line hole is clogged behind the rear interior freezer panel.

You will need to remove everything out of the freezer ,remove the rear interior panel and defrost the drain line hole .

I use a heat gun /hair dryer ,Hot water and a Turkey baster to defrost and clear the drain trough out and flush the drain line hole.

This is a common issue on every manufactures freezers no matter whom the manufacture is or if it is a side by side or top mount freezer.

If you have any questions just let me know.
