Hello, this is Dave and I'm happy to help you. Do you have a meter to test voltage?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
would have to find it though
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
You there??
Expert:  Appliance Tech Dave replied 9 months ago.

Yes, remove the bulb and you should se the center contact where you put one meter lead. On the side screw area there is a metal contact to put the other lead. There should be 120 volts AC.

ok will do.

i can not find my voltmeter, will have to get one. Where are you going with this? you thinking the light is not getting juice?
Expert:  Appliance Tech Dave replied 9 months ago.

Yes but we need to confirm. Do the metat contact points look ok. Many times the bulb just needs to be turned in tighter to contact the bottom.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Ok let me check that
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Metal contacts look fine, see .jpg file picture attached

Unplug the refig and lift the bottom contact just a little and the try the bulb again. Use a small screwdriver.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Ok will try that, thanks

How did you do? Do you still need help?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
That did not work. That is turning off, lifting the contact and then replacing the light bulb.
Since then, the freezer has defrosted and the digital coldness lights(1-7) for the refrig and freezer are not coming on.

This is starting to sound like a control problem. What is running? The fan in the freezer? The compressor? The fan down in the back?

No thanks, ***** ***** this discussion, the refrigerator compressor quit among the other issues. Problem solved= new refrigerator. It seems the newer they get the less longer they last. Thanks for your help though.
