We just moved an old GE refrigerator into my daughters

Customer Question

We just moved an old GE refrigerator into my daughters garage. We kept it up right on the 6 mile trek. When plugged in the frig trips the breaker. I told her to unplug everything else and had the same result. Then I suggested she use a 14 gauge ext. cord and plug inside the house and she has the same result...tripped again. What am I missing.

Can I please have the Full model number of the unit to better assist you ?
Are you plugging it into a standard slow blow circuit outlet or on GFCI outlets?

And when you first plug it in can you hear it hum in the rear bottom of the unit?
