Madame, I have an inquiry about my GE electric range model #

Customer Question

Dear Sir/ Madame,
I have an inquiry about my GE electric range model # ***** serial # ***** 048P, purchased April 4, 2015.
I recently observed a curious phenomenon with the Oven Temperature Control.
When turning it to 200o F, the oven cycling light (OCL) turns on but the heating element remains cold.
When advancing to 260o F, the OCL turns off but the heating element starts to warm up.
When advancing further to 325o F, the OCL turns on again and the heating element heats up.
Does this indicate a faulty Oven Temperature Control?
Is this still covered under the warranty?
Your input would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Hello from JA
My name is Woody.
I will be glad to assist you today.
I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 35 Years,
and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 80,000 internet repairs under my belt.

I would have to suspect that you may in fact have a faulty electronic control board .

The unit should have a 1 year warranty on it from the date of purchase .

so yes it should still be under the manufacturers warranty!

If you have any questions just reply back to me.
