Does the dishwasher have water in it - did it fill ? If it did fill remove the bottom kickplate to see the motor. The motor attaches to the pump ( the plastic part ) With the door unlatched , use your fingers and see if you can turn the motor and pump - there are little openings on the motor where it attaches to the pump that has fins inside the opening - try turning these fins - the pump may be stuck. If there is NO water in DW ( it didn't even fill) then you may have a bad door switch , which requires removing all the screws from the inside part of the door and the screw from bottom of door latch knob and separating the outer door from inner door to access the door switches. WIth the circuit breaker off you can use an ohm meter to check the switches. If the switches check good then you are down to the electronic control . This dishwasher is about 25 years old . The control is no longer available.
