Customer Question

I have a Whirlpool mn GS773LXSS, sn RU0623769 gas range. The clean function has never been used. Neither the oven or broiler will come on (all stove top burners work fine). When either the bake or broil command is initiated, there is a pause, two clicks from the back of the oven, then nothing. Neither glow plug/igniter comes on. Any ideas?

Your model does not have a glow type oven igniter this is a Direct Spark Ignition system .

When you turn the oven on the electronic spark module runs a safety check of the gas valve coils if that check fails the oven will not spark to light either Bake or Broil .

Doe you have a Volt-Ohm meter and know how to use it?

To be able to test the safety gas valve under the unit ,behind the drawer.
