Customer Question

I have a Maytag Dryer, Model # ***** that doesn't get hot enough. I've replaced the thermal fuse, the igniter, the thermostat (Cycling), the flame sensor and the heating coils and the dryer still doesn't get hot enough. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Is it heating up then not heating anymore after probably 10 minutes or so?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, it gets warm and stays warm but doesn't get hot enough. I have to run the dryer for 3 hours before the clothes finally dry. Sometimes longer.

Is there a viewing hole on the front of the cabinet where you can watch the flames to see if the burner is not lighting sometimes and just the igniter glows?

No

You have not changed the coils on the gas valve have you?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have changed the coils.
Expert:  Chas replied 1 year ago.

okay you called them heating coils instead of gas valve coils, give me a minute to check something.

Have you checked the drum seals, this will cause the dryer not to warm up enough also.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The drum seals are fine.

Have you tried using it without the duct work hooked up to the out side the home?

Also, after I run it, there's very little lint in the screen.

I worked for Maytag for many years, this is a stumper if all is true that you say, about the only thing left is the burner itself or the regulator causing the problem. I am looking at the tech sheets and books and everything, have you measured what the drum temps are going up to and what the exhaust temps coming out are?
