Customer Question

Recently, i cleaned the knobs on my gas oven range. Let them sit out to dry for a loooong time.
When I tried to put the knobs back on, all I could hear was an electrical zap, a small fire and a wicked smell permeate the kitchen. One drop of water sizzled the range, now none work. No clicks, nothing. We have a fancy Jenair gas oven range with convection oven. What do i do?

Hello, the breaker most likely tripped. The infinite switch shorted when putting the knobs back on or the wires touched and arched out which flipped the breaker. The unit will most likely require at least a new infinite switch and probably a couple new female terminals where the wires arched and shorted. I work on the honor system here @ Just Answers.
