I have an older Hobart meat grinder built probably in the late 40's early 50's.would I have to upgrade the wiring on this unit since it has a tag that says to use only an 8 amp fuse.its a 220,single phase grinder.

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! The wiring would only need to be upgraded if you have no 240 VAC outlet. The current of 8 amps is lower than an air conditioner or dryer would draw, so any 240 VAC outlet should work.
