here is a video that will show you how to take the dryer apart, the thermal cut-off is located on the heater element case which is located on the bottom right side of the dryer under the tub. VIDEO

Ya the cabrio models have the heating element inside the dryer, not on the back like the older whirlpools.

Mine doesn't have the piece that comes off the front.

pry the clip with a small screwdriver or flat edge tool and pull it apart.
